The safety of our students is our highest priority. We maintain a strong, proactive partnership with the Pawtucket Police Department. Through regular communication, campus visits, and emergency planning, we foster a safe environment where students and staff can focus on academic and spiritual growth. The Pawtucket PD are extremely generous in providing additional patrols and police details for potentially high-risk situations.
In an increasingly digital world, protecting our students online is just as important as protecting them in the classroom. For years we have partnered with Go Guardian, a leading digital filtering system on all school devices for middle school students. This software blocks inappropriate content, and allows teachers to guide students to safe, productive, and age-appropriate online research for school projects.
True safety encompasses all aspects of campus life. As part of our ongoing commitment to student safety, we partner with Assure Hire to conduct rigorous, nationwide background checks on every single staff member and volunteer before they interact with students. To complement this vetting process, we teach the Diocesan Safe Environment curriculum called Circle of Grace. This age-appropriate, faith-based program empowers students to recognize safe and unsafe situations, and know how to seek help from trusted adults.
