"Faith and reason are like two wings on which the human spirit rises to the contemplation of truth." - Saint John Paul II
Our Catholic Identity
At Saint Cecilia School, faith is at the heart of everything that we do.
Every day begins with prayer before our morning announcements. Our teachers encourage prayers before meals. Our school community gathers together at least once per month for the celebration of Mass. Each classroom has a patron saint which the students choose, and additional images of the faith to encourage them in their spiritual life.
Our students receive a solid foundation in Catholic teaching, including sacred scripture and the sacraments appropriate to their age level. Our pastor, Fr. Stephen Battey joins Mrs. Alysia Saunders in providing religion classes for our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students each week.
Service to our local community is encouraged for all students, who have many opportunities to volunteer and support our parish food pantry and other relief efforts for those in need.
Any family looking for a parish to call home are welcome to visit our sponsoring parish of Saint John Paul II, which was formed in 2011 from the communities of St. Leo the Great Parish and St. Cecilia Parish.
